• Too Much Fruit

    If you're struggling to lose weight, despite working out and eating healthily, then it could be down to the amount of fruit you're eating. Although fruit is a great replacement for unhealthy snacks, consuming too much could actually hinder your weight loss efforts, as fruits are high in fructose (fruit sugar). Don't cut it out completely though, some fructose is beneficial for your body and, of course, fruit contains a huge amount of vitamins, minerals and fibre. A good way to lower your fructose intake is to swap some of your fruit for vegetables - giving you plenty of nutritional goodness without the high sugar content. Try carrot and celery sticks with houmous for a great mid afternoon snack.
